Hand-crafted copper earrings from Michigan
“Splash copper is made by pouring molten copper at 2200 degrees F onto a float surface. When the shapes are cooled, a green or turquoise-colored chemical patina is applied. Then highlights are buff polished to expose the glowing copper underneath. The sculptures are sprayed to preserve the finish and the prevent the copper from tarnishing.” (Keweenaw Gem and Gift)
